The aim of Knowmore.org is to raise awareness of corporate abuse, and to serve as a catalyst for direct action against corporate power.

Ethical Consumerism is an important movement toward corporate reform, through which individuals recognize their own role in systems of oppression, and take personal steps toward resistance and  positive change.

However, the problem of unchecked corporate power is systemic and goes far beyond the scope of any single boycot or campaign.

• Nippon Express faces food scandal"The Shikoku branch of major transport firm Nippon Express Co. refroze meat buns and dumplings that had thawed due to a mistake and sold some 12,000 of them at half price, mainly to its workers, causing some consumers to become sick, it was learned Monday...The temperature of the containers should have been kept at minus 25, but Nippon Express mistakenly set the thermostat at 5, causing the food to thaw, they said. Nippon Express said it then paid 5 million yen in compensation to the food company, held onto the food and refroze it."
